After Petty Harbour, we headed off to Quidi Vidi (pronounced as kittyvidi). At first, I have no idea where this place "kittyvidi" was cos it said so fast. Quidi Vidi was the first place I went to after landed to see what left of the Regatta. Buried deep inside is Quidi Vidi village including a small fishing village. It's a beautiful and picturesque place. Our tour guide was relating a story of how a big iceberg came and block the inlet mouth and a polar bear was on top of it and eventually climb up to the rocks and could not come down. Rescue team was sent to rescue the polar bear, but rescue work did not go smooth. Here is a youtube video on the attempted rescue. It a pretty awesome video.

Last stop was to Amherst Light house which can be seen from Cabot Tower.
After Cape Spear, we headed off to Petty Harbor a small fishing village. It was really charming...wish I could have spend more time there, have a nice cup of coffee looking at the scenic view.
Took a 3 hours tour to see Cape Spear. Cape Spear is located a short drive from St John's. It very scenic and had to take a short climb to the light house. It's pretty scary as a slip would send one down the cliff and into the water. In fact, the day before I was there, a body was found in the waters at Cape Spear. It was a beautiful day for taking pics, enjoy!
I visited the Room. It's an Art Gallery and a Museum. The architecture of the inside building is phenomenal. The Room is situated at a high location and given the height of the building it offers a beautiful view of the harbor. The entrance fees is an affordable $10 and the exhibit especially the art gallery was excellent. Really inspired me to paint more.
Enjoy the photos.
