Iceland Day 3

Blue Lagoon & Fine Dinning

Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is the most visited attractions in Iceland.  The spa is located in a lava field in Grindavik and is a 50 min drive from Reykjavik - have to take a tour bus there about $20 one way.

The water is warm with pockets of hot water and it's pretty nice to hit a spot of warm and hot (hotter) water mingled together.  The silica is a hit and smell of sulfur was not overpowering.

It is so relaxing to people watch while taking a slow stroll all overall the lagoon.  Drinking beer and alcohol in the pool seems to be a hit with many.  Some even bring their mobile phone and camera with them in the water...I am definitely not a risk taker.

After a long relaxing stay at the lagoon, took a stroll on the outside before heading back to the apartment.

I decided to a have a nice dinner (my early Birthday Dinner) since I  was back early.  The food was great by just too expensive.  Oh well, it was a good experience and the carpaccio was really delicious though, first time eating 100% raw beef.
