What's Cooking in Halifax (Part 2)

Seafood galore

Lobster.  It's cheap and it's good!  Lobster is my all time favorite.  Even though lobster season is over and lobster price has gone up by 30 pct, it's still cheap compared to home.  Lobster size does matter.  I go for the canner lobster which is smaller and cheaper and the meat is sweeter too.  Canner lobsters are normally sold by pieces whereas big lobsters are more expensive as they are sold by the pound.

It was a juicy one and was quickly lavished
A stone was used to crack the pincher.

So how does one eat a lobster?  The larger lobster found in restaurant is normally served with clarify butter.  Really yummy but I cannot afford to eat it at a restaurant.  I cannot image eating a whole lobster by myself.  Oops I did but not in a restaurant setting.

$32 CAD for 4 lobsters;
it unbelievable.  In PEI

So how do I eat my lobsters?  Boil it, de-shelled it and put a heap full of lobster meat on a toasted bun or a croissant with a bed of coleslaw below it.  Aglio Olgio with lobster meat and top with a tail, is equally heavenly.

2 Canner Lobsters for $7 CAD each
