What's Cooking in Halifiax (Part 1)

Yes cooking is my hobby and cooking however needs people to eat, otherwise cooking for one can be quite mundane.  So I try to cook things that I have never done cook before.  Here are some dishes for show case, my favorite comfort food.

Preserved Snow Cabbage with Minced Pork. I love preserved snow cabbage but it so difficult to find it back home.

Macaroni (Elbows)

A Spicy Version with Shanghainese Noodles

Taiwanese Beef Noodles Soup. First time doing this style;  no fats beef brisket with spicy bean paste.

Shanghainese Noodles is easy to handle
Served with Baby Spinach and I forget to
add in  Preserved Snow Cabbage for this pic.
Taste better with some salted veg in this dish

Dried Scallop (Home made) Pork Porridge

Making dry scallop from fresh scallop. Trial and error method. Drying it a bit in microwave then in the oven at low heat.  Verdict - not too bad, looks like the real stuff and taste almost like it but it needed a bit of salt.

On sale for $13 a bag (1 lb)

The rice is really stubborn, hard to break up
