Ireland 22-30 Oct Day 1

At 3 pm promptly, we all got up the bus and on our way for a short city tour of Dublin.  We did a few stops for pic but most of time we were driving around the busy city of Dublin.  It's a very busy place, with lots people and cars.

There was a change in program, were going to do Guinness Store House tonight and not the last night.  Since I read so much about it I decided to go for it since I was not going to meet up with Kim.  It was somewhat expensive, 72 Euro, but since it was Ireland number 1 tour, I had to do it.  I guess it was okay, the guided tour, drink and dinner and transport back to the hotel. Guinness store it's an impressive 7 storey building with restaurants and a very nice glass bar on the 6th floor where we were served a pint of Guinness.  I had my own half pint of Guinness with Ribena but it was still too bitter for me.  Definitely not a drink for me, left half a glass in the end.  For dinner, we had Irish stew (with Guinness of course) and a generous helping of salads and sides and for dessert I had a banana cream tart.  After dinner, we had time to browse at the store and manage to even buy a magnet and two cute small shopping bags.

So what have I learnt on this tour - that Guinness
1) Is not black but Ruby Red
2) That it needs two pour to make a delicious stout
3) That the yeast used its since Day 1, they kept growing it and it kept in a safe
4) That the land is lease for 1 thousand years
5) Is a really prestige place to work
6) That the liquid is shipped via vessel and bottled elsewhere
7) Is very rich in iron and Irish women will drink a pint after delivery
